I want to start by saying sorry for not updating my blog sooner! My first Christmas here has been eventful …. we took part in the Great Santa Run, which was fantastic, the weather was awful, with puddles so deep that we probably added 1/2 kilometre in trying to avoid them, Jeremy Spake was there on form and encouraging over a 1,000 santas around the course. We all ended up back at the hotel relaxing and warming up in front of the fire, which was much needed for our little red hands and faces!!

Then on the 21st – we had the annual Holly Ball. People arrived in their best evening gowns and tuxedos, everyone looked gorgeous and the guest appearance was Robbie Williams, ok so it wasn’t actually him, but he sounded and looked great!!

On the 23rd I met some of the guests that were staying with us for Christmas which was nice, its such a relaxed atmosphere everyone that I spoke to seemed to enjoy themselves. Some have already booked for this Christmas and New Year – oh to be that oragnised!

I wasn’t around on New Years Eve (managed a couple of days off – don’t tell the management though, I don’t think they noticed!), but feedback from staff and guests was all good, entertainment was spread across the hotel, with a disco, band, and even pipers at midnight! Check out was very busy today obivously everyone rushing back to work, but in the freezing cold, it was nice to be running about.

Now we need to prepare for the next flurry of guests, because it is nearly Easter! I’m joking of course!!
