The Grand Hotel is Torquay's premier sea front hotel with 4 stars and an AA Rosette for excellent food and hospitality. It has 132 bedrooms, restaurant, spacious Bar and Lounge areas, indoor and outdoor pools, Jacuzzi and multi-gym, outdoor tennis court, conference, meeting and function rooms. It is close to the centre of Torquay and adjacent to the train station. The hotel has free indoor parking (limited) and in the station car park grounds. There is also street parking available.

Getting to Torquay

The nearest train station to The Grand Hotel is Torquay. It is situated adjacent to the hotel. On exiting the station, turn right and the hotel is just across the road.

What to See and Do

The Grand is perfectly placed for visiting all of the attractions along the English Riviera coastline and beyond to Dartmoor, Exmoor and Plymouth. From the hotel the centre of Torquay is a leisurely and pleasant stroll along the seafront where you will find amongst other things, the Marina, good shopping, The Living Coast and other attractions as well as some choice places to wine and dine. From The Grand you can go off for the day by car, by train or by boat. There are some super excursions to take including trips to Greenway, one of Agatha Christie's homes with a beautiful garden. Cockington Country Park or Dartmoor and attractions like Kent's Caverns offer a great alternative day out from the beach. Speaking of beaches, there are several white sandy ones easily accessible from the hotel in addition to the one in front of it.
