 Whether it is a small birthday celebration dinner for 10 people or a Society dinner for 180, a private room at The Grand Hotel is ideal - even the name itself sounds special!

The hotel's Banqueting and Finger Buffet menus provide many delicious suggestions but if you have your own ideas, our Head Chef will be happy to meet and discuss the options with you.  The Grand hotel is proud of its AA Rosette and and focusses on using as much locally sourced quality produce as it can.  All special dietary requirements can be catered for with ease if advance notice is given.

The Grand understands how important it is that everything goes right on the day or night which is why a member of the conference and event team will be with you every step of the way, advising and assisting you with all the extra litle details that you may have overlooked.  The hotel's experience brings with it ideas that can be shared to ensure that your event is an unforgettable occasion.

 THE GAINSBOROUGH RESTAURANT. With beautiful bay windows overlooking The Grand's seaview terrace, The Gainsborough is a perfect venue for large dinners and balls for up to 180 guests. With dance floor and private bar, it has everything you need to ensure your guests are guaranteed a great night out. The Gainsborough also serves as a setting for conference lunches and breakfasts.

THE DEVONSHIRE SUITE. This attractive room has everything to offer. Situated on the ground floor the room has a domed ceiling that provides natural daylight but can also be covered if required. The room is air conditioned and has stage, dance floor and a private bar. The Devonshire has wi-fi (available free of charge) and is equipped with audio visual equipment and remote control consul.

THE CAVENDISH SUITE. This is a delightful room with sea views and separate door to the hotel's spacious terrace. Modern in decor, it is a light, bright and airy room ideal for meetings and private dinners for up to 60 guests.

THE WINDSOR SUITE. Situated on the lower ground floor of the hotel this air conditioned room is ideal for small meetings or as a break out or syndicate conference room.

THE CHATSWORTH SUITE. The Grand's smallest room is The Chatsworth, a circular shaped room situated on the ground floor in one of the turrets of the hotel. It is an ideal room for a private board room meeting or dinner - particularly one which features a bespoke Gourmet Menu prepared by the multi-talented Head Chef, Richard Hunt. Catering for a maximum of 12 people, The Chatsworth is also ideal for use as an interview room, office or anteroom as it offers free wi-fi.
