Cookery School | 5th July
Our half day cookery lessons are the perfect taster for anyone wanting to learn new skills. We are offering detailed cookery demonstrations by our Executive Head Chef Mark Brankin at the Grand Hotel.
This month’s cookery school will focus on local fresh fish and shellfish
Courses start at 10.00 am with a discussion with Mark Brankin, followed by 2 recipe demonstrations and lunch.
You will not only leave after having a fantastic experience but you will also take home the recipe and method.

Hand-Dived Scallop, Sweetcorn Puree, Chicken Wings, Truffle Jus
We will demonstrate taking the scallop out of the shell, cleaning the scallop. Preparing the chicken wings and sweetcorn puree. finally presenting the dish professionally.
Salmon Fillet, Potato Gnocchi, Stir Fried Spring Vegetables
Demonstration of taking down the salmon and portioning it. How to make potato gnocchi. How to julienne vegetables and plating the dish.
