The Grand Hotel has 132 bedrooms,spread over 4 floors - many with wonderful sea views of Torbay, The floors are serviced via 2 lifts and there are stairs for the more energetic!  Some rooms with ground floor access are available for less abled guests.  Rooms are available in a number of categories - Standard Inland, Standard Sea View and Suites.  All rooms are individually and comfortably furnished to 4 star standards. Suites have sweeping sea views.

Room Categories:

The Grand hotel has 7 Premier Suites, available with one or two bedrooms, sleeping from one to 5 people.  All suites have sea views. The lounge areas are spacious and comfortably furnished, equipped with remote control colour TV with satellite channels, DVD player, small fridge and hospitality tray.  Bathrobes and slippers are provided in the bedrooms, with double bedded rooms in each suite having an additional remote control TV.  The 2 bedroom suites, with one double bedded and one twin room, have one and a half bathrooms.  Extra beds can be accommodated in all Premier Suites, which makes them perfect for families.  The Agatha Christie Suite is named in honour of the world's most famous crime writer, who spent her honeymoon in that suite.

Standard Sea View rooms are more spacious than Standard Inland rooms and available as double, twin bedded rooms and as family rooms.  All of these rooms offer wonderful sea views and some have the benefit of balconies. These rooms are well equipped as per our standard rooms with extras such as iron and ironing board and family rooms also include a small fridge.  A limited number of rooms are inter-connecting.

Family rooms are available with and without sea views.  They are furnished with double beds and bunk beds in rooms sleeping two children or a single bed where suitable for one child.  Cots are available.  Family rooms include small fridges.

Standard Inland rooms are comfortably furnished and equipped with remote control colour TV with satellite channels, direct dial telephone with PC modem, hospitality tray, hairdryer and room safe.   All rooms are en-suite with bath and overhead shower.  They are available as single, double, twin-bedded and family rooms. Our more compact double rooms are available as Executive Single rooms.

There are safes available in all the bedrooms and there is a daily charge of £2.00 per day for this facility.
