Escape to the English Riviera

A Grand Place to Stay...

Looking for a short break in a 4 star hotel in Devon or a place to stay on the English Riviera?  The Grand Hotel, long associated with the world-famous author Agatha Christie, is a landmark hotel in Torquay. Situated on the seafront, overlooking the wide sweep of Torbay on one side and the resorts of Paignton and Brixham on the other, it has been considered 'the place to be seen' since the end of the nineteenth century.

Adjacent to the train station, it is easily accessible for top attractions in Devon as well as some of its most beautiful coastline including a World Heritage site – the UK’s first internationally recognised Geopark.

Torquay is at the centre of Devon’s golden mile in the heart of the English Riviera.  The 22 miles of coastline offer some of the best beaches in Devon.  If you take the bird’s eye view from the giant High Flyer Balloon, situated 50 metres from the hotel, you will see just how much there is to do and see on a holiday in Torquay.
